Our Decorex Debut
We have had a fantastic debut at this years Decorex! And felt very welcome by both visitors and our fellow exhibitors. We would like to thank all those who visited our stand for the wonderful feedback we received on both Elementi and our new Simul Hallway Collection.

A big highlight for us was being selected by Simon Hamilton (International Director for the BIID) and Design Exchange Magazine as one of their favourites from Decorex!
Here's what Simon had to say about our Simul Collection in particular:
"This caught my attention as the artist combines metal and wood to produce unique but highly practical pieces for residential and commercial projects."
You can read Simon's full review here.

Our Stand at Decorex 2014
The Simul collection offers a clever solution to hallway storage. The bench beautifully nestles underneath the console and they meld together to form visually one unit. Separate them, in your hall and you have a console and a low bench which includes shoe storage and a higher end for putting a book or telephone on.
Contemporary with hints of art-deco and the use of solid copper, the Simul Collection follows on from Andrea’s earlier work such as Elementi and the Sequenza Credenza.
The mirror can be purchased with the console and bench duo. The materials linking it in and the antiqued mirror adding to the art-deco feel.
The Simul Collection is offered to our clients on a commission basis and therefore the wood tones and effects can be styled to fit with their existing decors.

We're really looking forward to our debut at Decorex especially in the new venue of Kensington Palace!
Our first year at Decorex will see us launching our Simul Hallway Collection. Simul exemplifies Andrea's Italian artisan heritage and contemporary design aesthetic which incorporates hints of art-deco and often metal.
This new collection will be joined on display by our Elementi copper cabinet.
Below are some of the show previews, that we're had the honor of being featured in. It looks like it is going to be an amazing show and we can't wait to take part.
Please pop into stand G13 in Perks Field and say hi! We look forward to showing our favourite and new work!

City Financial Reception Desk and Awards Cabinet
Working closely with Interior Designer Tracy Hain of www.beauxideal.com
Andrea Felice was task to design several key pieces of furniture for the City Financial Reception in London - The Reception desk, Awards Display
Cabinet and an Umbrella Stand. It
was important that the finishes worked in perfectly with the other
designer pieces selected. These pieces were all crafted by AF
Designs in their London workshop.
The Reception Desk was crafted from Oak which had a specialist dark stain applied. The desk was top with a high grade desktop Linoleum which was mitred at at 45% angle to wrap around the front. The desk was detailed with a brass inlay which also wrapped around the front of the desk.
The Awards Cabinet (which was very hard to photograph) was designed to house the numbers awards that City Financial had received for their work. It feature an integrated LED lighting system and bottom storage drawers. The cabinet was detailed with brass inlays matching those of the desk, and hand crafted (by AFD) drawer handles.

Beelzebub Cabinet
Over the past years I have been incorporating organic elements into his designs and contrasting them with linear shapes. This cabinet continues on with this theme. Featuring a wide spectrum of traditional and modern woodworking techniques, as well as the incorporation of metal.
The extruded marquetry of ‘THE FLY’ that appears on the front of the cabinet is constructed with anatomical accuracy. Giving the feeling that the giant fly could literally fly off the cabinet and circle you!
The construction of THE FLY has been an intimate journey - each piece of wood has been painstakingly selected (Wenge & Sapele) for it’s grain and colour. Then crafted by hand (wood turned, shaped and carved) individually and with extreme accuracy so that they fit perfectly with each other. The wings of the THE FLY were first carved from wood, then scanned and water jet cut from sheet aluminium. The whole fly sculpture then adorns the front of the cabinet.
The body of the Beelzebub cabinet is clad in copper sheet (utilising techniques we have developed and that were used in Elementi & Sequenza. With a single concealed door opening at the side of the cabinet in a wing like manner (rather than the front). The Beelzebub body then stands on four curvaceous legs formed from solid Sapele and curved ply-veneered in Wenge, with copper intricately veneered on the edges. This Beelzebub is truly a one-off piece due to the nature of the work. The cabinet stands 1.72 meters high and is about 73cm wide (73cm deep). The cabinet is intended to go to a gallery after the show. It would be available for press loan.
Beelzebub was the lord of the flies.

Evoluzione Light
The Evoluzione Light gives you the possibility to spend your evenings creating and refining your table light. Using the Evoluzione kit you can challenge your friends to create the best table light design, or vary your light form to suite your mood and changing décor desires.
This light is incredibly addictive, allowing you to interact with it at your leisure - sculpting your own light to your hearts content. However even in it’s basic stacked form the light retains its design value of contrasts between geometric and organic.
The light very much a game of shape, light and shadows. Where you can play at being ‘Bucky’ in your home. Create small compact lights or large structures simply by joining the wood triangles with rubber links or by slotting the triangles directly into one and another. The structures can be built upon the inner Perspex LED light, or forms can be created independently as stand alone pieces.
The Evoluzione Light is a collaboration between Furniture Designer/Maker Andrea Felice, and Architect and friend Angelo Grasso. Initially wanting to create a game for children, Angelo and Andrea started to play withinterlocking geometric shapes. Both Angelo and Andrea are fans of Buckminster Fuller (Bucky), and this lead to the creation of the interlocking triangular shapes. While ‘playing’ around with it one evening they then decided to ‘put a light in it’ – and the Evoluzione Light was born.
Evoluzione Light – constructional details:
• Constructed from plywood triangular pieces, Perspex core, and LED light.
• The internal light ‘core’ 240mm high when ‘stacked’ into a tower with 100mm triangular sides.
• When the light is constructed it can form much larger shapes (size depends on the users creation)
• The triangular wooden shapes can be attached to the Perspex core and each other either by slotting into each other, or by the use of rubber links.
